In Seaside Heights, New Jersey, you can't pass up a visit to Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach, an iconic amusement park. The park sustained severe damage during Hurricane Sandy in 2012, but has rebounded to offer several new attractions, with plans for more enhancements — including a Ferris wheel and roller coaster — by 2016.
Casino Pier
At Casino Pier, families enjoy a mix of classic and modern rides, from a tilt-a-whirl and bumper cars to Skyscraper, a thrill ride that soars 170 feet into the air at speeds of 70 mph! Be sure to take a spin on the Dr. Floyd L. Moreland Historic Dentzel/Looff Carousel, too — it's Casino Pier's oldest and most famed attraction. Other popular attractions include The Casino Arcade and Seaside Speedway Go-Kart Track.
Breakwater Beach
When it's time to cool off, head to Breakwater Beach, where there's a Toddler Area and Family Play Section, plus a wave pool, lazy river and plenty of water slides! Cabanas are available for rent, as is a food and beverage location.

We received complimentary admission to experience Casino Pier Breakwater Beach.
Encore wynn casino everett ma. Last Sunday as we were about halfway on our drive to Casino Pier Breakwater Beach we saw dark storm clouds rolling in. It was too late to turn back now so we pressed on. We were going to make the best of our family funday despite the impending rainstorms. Breakwater Beach was opening early (at 9:30am) and we wanted to get there as early as possible so that we could experience all that the parks and the boardwalk had to offer.
I think the water park was my favorite part of the entire day, even on a somewhat chilly, cloudy morning. There is truly something for everyone at this park. My youngest enjoyed the perfect storm area which features multiple slides and fun activities for the younger guests.
Next we took a relaxing ride down the Revolutionary Wild River, which was more like a lazy Sunday morning river. The great thing about the clouds was that we basically had this attraction all to ourselves. The water was also warmer in this area which was nice. My daughter and I took plenty of rides down the Two if by Sea water slides which accommodate single or double riders. These were a lot of fun, and it was a great leg workout climbing up for the ride each time!
Breakwater Beach Casino Pier
We ended our time there at the Harbor which features waves that come every 10 minutes. This was a fun area for some swimming and jumping the waves. At this point the storm was here so we go dressed and made our way over to the boardwalk for lunch and the arcade where we spent most of our tokens on the claw machines – does anyone every win these things?
Finally the rides were open at around 1pm when the threat of a major storm has passed. We closed out the day with some delicious soft serve and sadly left as the sun was coming out. We can't wait to return on a more beautiful day this summer!
Now it's your turn to visit Casino Pier Breakwater Beach. It's located in Seaside Park, New Jersey just over the bridge from Toms River and we have a 4-pack of Ride & Slide passes for your family to enjoy!
